Drawing from Nature
CFS Studio Holder Lisa Temple-Cox will be leading a 2-day residential natural history drawing workshop for the Field Studies Council at Flatford Mill.
'“Over the course of this workshop we will explore a range of drawing media: from graphite through to fine line pen, sanguine chalks and charcoal, homemade walnut and oak gall inks, and even biro. There will be regular drawing demonstrations and tips, as well as unpacking the structure and morphology of different specimens. We will be working from a range of natural history resources, many from Lisa's extensive collection but including some gathered from the surrounding area. Included in this course will be a visit to Benton End, the former home of The East Anglian School of Art. Students will be able to spend a morning in the extensive grounds of this beautiful house, with time to study, enjoy and create before returning to Flatford”
This course offers the opportunity to explore different media and subject matter in beautiful surroundings. Visit Further Drawing from Nature – Field Studies Council (field-studies-council.org) for more information and to book.
Lisa's ongoing series of short workshops at Firstsite in Colchester will continue monthly until the spring - see Nature drawing workshop with Lisa Temple-Cox - Firstsite for dates.
